The 4 in 2 Multi Charging Cable is worth buying if you own a mix of USB-C, Lightning and Micro USB gear and keep hunting for a free outlet. One 5FT cord feeds four devices from a single charging block, and the package ships two bundles. Buy.

How this review was made: written from my own video review of this product. Every opinion here is my own, from using it myself.

Quick Verdict

One cord by my nightstand now charges my iPhone, my older Lightning AirPods and my newer USB-C AirPods at the same time. Two bundles in the package for roughly the price of a single cable elsewhere makes the value hard to argue with, my wife took the second one the same night I unboxed it.

Buy if you:

  • Still own Lightning gear alongside newer USB-C devices
  • Charge everything overnight from one nightstand outlet
  • Travel and want fewer separate charging cords packed
  • Want a second bundle to hand to a spouse or kid

I’m Always Looking for a Cool Gadget. I Think I Found One.

I plugged this into the block by my nightstand and that was the whole setup. One charging cable, one outlet, everything going at once. Most of my stuff takes USB-C now, but I still have a few things on a Lightning cable, like my older AirPods. So this kind of fills the needs for everything I have.

That was the problem I was solving. Not cable mess exactly, outlet math. One block, three or four things that all need charging before morning.

What It Won’t Do

Only one of the USB-C ends carries data and wired CarPlay. The rest are charge-only, including the second USB-C, the Lightning and the Micro USB. If you grab the wrong tip and plug into your car expecting CarPlay, nothing happens and you’ll think the cable’s bad. It isn’t. You just need the designated one.

And the Micro USB. I don’t have an immediate use for it. But I love it that it has it, because the day some old speaker or power bank surfaces in a drawer, I’m covered.

Out of the Package, Onto the Nightstand

Setup took about ten seconds. There’s a USB that you plug into your outlet or your charging block, and then it has the four cables coming off of that. No app, no account, nothing to pair. You plug in and the devices start taking a charge.

The nice surprise was that it comes with two of these bundles in one package. So I kept one and gave my wife a bundle as well too. She’s like me, she has several different electronic gadgets with different cores she needs to plug in, USB-C over to Lightning. Two for one is part of why I think I get a lot of value for my money here.

Build Quality and Charging Speed Assumptions

People assume a multi-head charging cable means thin, cheap cord. This one isn’t. It comes in a pretty sturdy, a pretty thick cable as well too, braided nylon over tinned copper with aluminum alloy connector housings. The rated spec is 20,000 plus bends and 20,000 plus plug-and-unplug cycles.

The other assumption is that one cord splitting four ways means everything charges slower. That’s going to depend on your charging block, not the cable. A single low-output wall brick feeding four devices is the bottleneck. I’m using mine overnight, so speed was never the point. Convenience was.

The one thing I’m watching is the junction where the four tails split off the trunk, that’s exactly where budget splitters crack and fray first. The braided nylon feels reassuringly thick there, but I’ll update once I’ve put real daily miles on it.

Four Ends, Two Inputs, 5 Feet of Reach

The layout is one trunk with two input options, USB-A or USB-C, feeding four output tips: Lightning, two USB-C and a Micro USB. The dual input matters more than it sounds. Older wall blocks are USB-A, newer ones and most car ports are USB-C, so you’re not locked out of either.

The 5 foot length is the other number worth knowing. On a nightstand it means you can reach a phone on the bed, not just the table. On a plane or in a hotel room where the outlet is behind the headboard or under the desk, that reach is the difference between charging and not. That’s also why the listing leans into cruise cabins, RVs and road trips. Fewer separate charging cords in the carry-on.

One cable off the nightstand block handles my iPhone, both pairs of AirPods and my wife’s older Android earbuds simultaneously, nothing waiting in a queue, nothing unplugged by morning. That’s the whole pitch, and it delivers it.

Would I Buy It Again?

Yes, and I’d buy it specifically for the mixed-connector household. If every device you own is USB-C, a plain two-pack of good USB-C cords probably serves you better. The moment you’ve got a Lightning holdout in the mix, like my older AirPods, this stops being a novelty and starts being the cable you reach for every night.

Worth knowing on timing: it’s sitting right around its usual price for the past three months, so there’s no sale to wait out. Amazon shows more than 500 bought in the past month, which tells me the stock is moving and this isn’t some orphaned listing. Current pricing is on the product page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it in the car with CarPlay?

Yes, but only through the one designated USB-C connector, and only with a compatible vehicle and phone. The other three tips are charging-only. Label that end with a bit of tape if you’re going to use it for CarPlay regularly.

Does it work with Samsung and other Android phones?

Yes. The USB-C outputs cover Samsung and basically any modern Android phone or tablet, and the Micro USB tip covers older Android gear and accessories. It’s not an Apple-only cable despite the Lightning end being the headline for me.

Can I charge from a power bank or a car USB port instead of a wall outlet?

Yes. The input end plugs into anything with a USB-A or USB-C port, so a power bank, a car port, a laptop or an airline seat USB all work. Your charge speed is capped by whatever that source puts out, not by the cable.

How should I store it so the four tails don’t tangle?

Coil the trunk first, then fold the four tips together and wrap the loop around them once. The braided nylon is tangle-resistant and holds a coil better than rubber-jacketed cords. For travel I’d drop it in a small pouch rather than loose in a bag.

Loses a few tenths because only one of the four tips carries data and CarPlay, which is easy to get wrong in a dark car. Anyone running a pure USB-C household doesn’t need this. Put data on both USB-C ends and it’s a five.
