Bamboo Storage Bag Organizer Review
Two months with the Bamboo Storage Bag Organizer: four compartments, 21 labels, drawer or wall mount. Here's what it fixed and the one wish I have.
The Bamboo Storage Bag Organizer is worth buying if your sandwich, freezer and gallon bags live clumped in a drawer. Four compartments, 21 labels, and it works in a drawer or hung on the wall. Measure first: it needs a 3-inch minimum drawer height. Buy.

Quick Verdict
Two months in and we know exactly where every bag is, by size, labeled. Four compartments, 21 stickers, sliding pockets on top that roll back for refills. I couldn’t ask for anything more, except a darker mahogany finish.
Buy if you:
- Keep Ziploc bags clumped in a drawer or still in their boxes
- Rotate between sandwich, freezer, quart and gallon sizes weekly
- Rent and can’t drill, since it sits in a drawer just as well as on a wall
- Also store compostable or produce bags and want them in the same spot
Skip if you:
- Want a dark wood finish; bamboo is the only color, and I’d have taken mahogany
- Have shallow drawers, it needs a 3-inch minimum height at 12.5″x12″x3″
- Store more than four bag types, there are only four compartments
| Dimensions | 12.5″ x 12″ x 3″ |
|---|---|
| Minimum drawer height | 3 in |
| Compartments | 4 |
| Labels included | 21 stickers |
| Material | Bamboo |
| Mounting | In-drawer or wall-hung |
Our Bags Were Clumped, Piled, or Still in the Box
Before this arrived, four different bag sizes lived in the same drawer in a collapsed heap, quart bags under gallon bags, sandwich bags missing entirely, the freezer bag box sideways in the back. Finding the right size meant pulling everything out. This Bamboo Storage Bag Organizer fixed that on day one, and the bamboo finish is good-looking enough that it wouldn’t embarrass you on a counter.
Four Compartments, Sliding Pockets on Top
Four compartments load from sliding pockets on top that open flat, roll back after refilling, and lock in place. I pulled one back on camera to show how it works: you slide the pocket open, drop your bags in, then just roll it back in place. That’s the whole refill. No unscrewing anything, no pulling the unit apart.
It also comes with 21 different stickers so you can label every slot. Pint to quart, sandwich bags, freezer bags, whatever you can think of, they’ve got it. We’ve got our Ziploc bags in here and my wife also included some compostable bags we just started using, which I love, because now those live in the same place as everything else instead of floating around.
Two Months In, Nothing Has Sagged
Sturdy. That’s the word I kept coming back to. I showed a side view in the video specifically because I wanted you to see the build, not just the front face. The bamboo doesn’t flex when you pull a gallon-sized bag out, and the sliding pocket still rolls back smoothly after a couple months of daily grabbing.
The other thing that’s very nice about it: you can place it flat in a drawer so everything stays out of sight, or you can hang it on the wall. I do love that it comes in those two different options. For a renter that’s the whole ballgame, since the drawer version needs no hardware at all. Just measure before you buy, because at 12.5″ x 12″ x 3″ it needs a drawer with at least 3 inches of clearance.
What the Money Buys Against a Plastic Bin
You’re paying for the bamboo and the labels, not the storage. A plastic bin holds bags too. What it doesn’t do is look good enough to leave on a counter, and it doesn’t tell you which slot is quart and which is freezer. The 21 stickers are the part I’d miss most if I switched back.
One thing worth knowing on timing: it’s sitting a little above where its price has typically been over the last three months, so if you’re not in a hurry, it’s worth watching the current price on the product page for a week. It’s also ranked #7,583 in Kitchen & Dining right now against a 90-day average of #6,367, so it’s moving a bit slower than it was. Still more than 50 bought in the past month, so it’s not some abandoned listing.
The Color Is My One Complaint
My one real complaint: the bamboo is a pale natural tan, and against dark walnut cabinets it sticks out. I’d have paid the same price for a mahogany stain. There are no finish options, one color, take it or leave it, so if your kitchen runs dark, factor that in before you buy.
The four-compartment limit is the other boundary. If you keep six or seven bag types going, something gets doubled up.
Refilling and Keeping Bamboo Looking Right
Refills take seconds. Open the back side, restock, done. There’s nothing to replace over time, no consumables, no moving parts other than the sliding pockets, which is a big part of why I’d expect this to outlast the drawer it’s sitting in. The labels are the only thing that could eventually peel, and you get 21 of them, so there’s room to redo a slot if your bag lineup changes.
Bamboo wants a wipe, not a soak. Mine lives in a drawer and has stayed clean, but I wouldn’t run water over it.
Who This Storage Bag Organizer Is Actually Built For
Two months of daily use and the sliding pockets still roll back cleanly, the bamboo hasn’t flexed, and I’ve never reached into the wrong compartment because the labels tell me exactly what’s where. That’s the whole job, and it does it. Skip the Amazon ratings summary, I’d tell you if something broke.

Not for you if your drawers are under 3 inches deep or you need a dark wood to match your kitchen. Everything else, it handles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the labels stick permanently, or can I move them?
They’re stickers, so treat placement as a one-time decision. You get 21 of them, which is far more than the four compartments need, so you’ve got plenty of spares if you reorganize later.
Can it hold bags other than Ziplocs?
Yes. We’ve got compostable bags in ours alongside the Ziplocs, and the included labels cover pint, quart, sandwich, freezer and gallon. Anything that comes in a flat boxed stack should load the same way.
What hardware do I need to hang it on the wall?
I use mine in a drawer, so I didn’t mount it. Wall-hanging is a listed option on the organizer, but plan on supplying your own anchors suited to your wall type before you commit to that route.
Will it work in a bathroom or pantry instead of a kitchen drawer?
Should be fine anywhere dry with 3 inches of clearance. Bamboo and steady humidity aren’t friends long term, so I’d keep it out of a room that fogs up daily.
