The Oil Sprayer is worth buying if you air fry or cook with olive oil and want portion control instead of free-pouring. Glass 200ml bottle, about 1 gram per press, and a wide fan mist that coats chicken evenly in one pass. Buy.

Chicken, Air Fryer, One Pass

I sprayed olive oil over raw chicken, and the whole breast was coated in a single pass. That’s the thing that sold me on this Oil Sprayer. It’s more of a broad-based fan or misting of your liquid across your food, not a narrow jet that puddles in one spot and leaves the rest dry.

I predominantly use it for spraying olive oil on my food prior to cooking, and especially on chicken before it goes in the air fryer. I’ve gone through at least two cheaper sprayers that either jetted a thin stream or sputtered halfway through a breast. This one fans out wide enough that a single pass covers the whole surface, no dry patches, no puddles, no circling back.

The Wide Mouth Is Why Cleaning Isn’t a Chore

Refilling takes no funnel. The 200ml glass bottle has a wide mouth, so you pour, you rinse, you’re done. That matters more than it sounds with oil, because narrow-neck sprayers are where the mess starts.

There’s a built-in fine mesh filter sitting between the bottle and the nozzle, catching particles before they get into the spray path. That’s the part that usually kills a cheap sprayer. And since it’s glass, you can see the oil level at a glance, so you’re not shaking it to guess. No consumables, no refill cartridges, nothing to buy again. You keep filling the same bottle.

Glass Over Plastic, Every Time

It comes in glass and it’s not plastic, and I prefer the glass instead of the plastic container. Plastic holds oil smell. Glass doesn’t, and it doesn’t cloud up on you after a few months of olive oil sitting in it.

The trade-off is obvious and I’ll say it plainly: glass breaks. This isn’t the one you toss in a camping tote or hand to a kid. It lives on the counter. The trigger head and base are plastic, which is where the moving parts are, so if anything wears out over time it’s going to be the mechanism and not the bottle. I think it has a very smooth trigger as well too, and after regular use it hasn’t gotten stiff or sticky on me.

It’s Not an Aerosol Can, and That’s the Point

People expect one press to blanket a sheet pan. It won’t. Each full press puts out about 1 gram of oil, which is the whole reason to own this thing. So this is more of a measured approach to spraying oil on my food. If you’re used to holding down a store-bought aerosol for three seconds, you’ll need a few presses here, and you’ll also know exactly how much oil went on your dinner.

For a finer mist you press the trigger fully and quickly. A half-press gives you a weaker spread. And you can adjust the spray distance when you’re hitting something small instead of a whole air fryer basket.

Worth knowing on the buying side: Amazon has it at #20,856 in Kitchen & Dining right now, down from a 90-day average of #15,958, so it’s selling a bit slower than it was. Pricing is sitting below where it’s been for the past three months and close to the lowest it’s been tracked. Over 400 bought in the past month. Check the current price here.

Filling It the First Time

Two minutes, start to finish. Unscrew the trigger top, pour olive oil into the 200ml glass bottle through that wide opening, screw it back on. Give the trigger a few pumps to prime the line before you aim at food, because the first press or two comes out thin while the oil works its way up.

Then it stays on the counter, already loaded, already primed. That’s the difference between a tool you reach for every night and one you dig out of a drawer once a week.

Buy It for the Cook in Your Life

There’s one size and one configuration, so there’s no version to agonize over. 200ml glass, approximately 1g per press. If you want something for anything other than olive oil, it also handles avocado oil, vinegar, soy sauce and cooking wine, and I’d keep one liquid per bottle rather than switching back and forth.

It’s also a genuine gift option, one size, no configuration decisions, under the price of most cooking gadgets that collect dust. The friends I cook with would actually use this.

Pros

  • Wide fan mist coats chicken evenly in one pass, better than the sprayers I’ve had before
  • Glass bottle instead of plastic, and you can see the oil level
  • Very smooth trigger, no fighting it
  • About 1g per press gives you real portion control for air fryer cooking
  • Wide mouth plus built-in mesh filter makes refilling and rinsing easy

Cons

  • Glass, so it’s a counter-top item, not something to travel with
  • 1g per press means multiple presses for a full sheet pan if you’re used to aerosol
  • 200ml fills up fast if you cook with oil daily

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

Rinse it by hand. The wide mouth means warm water and a little dish soap does the job without a bottle brush, and the trigger assembly has a mesh filter and moving parts in it that you don’t want cooked in a dishwasher cycle.

Does it work for vinegar or soy sauce too?

Yes. The listing covers olive oil, avocado oil, vinegar, soy sauce and cooking wine. I’d dedicate the bottle to one liquid though, since soy sauce residue in an olive oil bottle isn’t a flavor combination anyone asked for.

Will it clog like the cheap ones?

There’s an integrated fine mesh filter built in specifically to catch particles before they reach the nozzle, which is the usual failure point on sputtering sprayers. If you’re running infused or unfiltered oil with sediment, strain it before it goes in the bottle.

Is it good for salads and grill grates, not just the air fryer?

Yes, the fan pattern works well on larger surfaces like salads, grill grates, and baking trays. The listing names salads, grill grates, baking trays and vegetables, and you can hold it closer to narrow the spray when you’re hitting something small.

The fan pattern is the deciding feature: even coverage on chicken in one pass, where my previous sprayers streaked. Half a star off for the 200ml glass bottle, which is a counter item you’ll refill often if you cook every night. A larger glass option alongside this one would make it a five.
