Quatish Travel Bottles Review: TSA Approved, Leak Proof for Travel
Six 3 oz silicone travel bottles for toiletries that went through TSA multiple trips without a leak or a Ziploc bag.
The Quatish Travel Bottles are worth buying if you fly often and want toiletry containers that skip the Ziploc routine. It’s a 6-pack of 3 oz TSA-approved silicone bottles with a 3-layer lid. Kept halfway full across several trips, mine never leaked. Buy.

Quick Verdict
Several trips, two of them riding loose in my Dopp kit, and not one leak. We keep them about halfway full and have never had a problem going through TSA. No Ziploc bag required, which is the part I love.
Buy if you:
- fly a few times a year and hate the Ziploc shuffle at security
- carry a Dopp kit and want shaving cream and cologne decanted separately
- need a cheap small gift on hand for white elephant or office occasions
- refill one bottle instead of buying travel-size products every trip
Skip if you:
- want to fill them to the brim. We keep ours halfway full and that’s part of why they behave
- need to pack oil-based products, which the maker says not to use in these
- need more than 3 oz per bottle for a two-week trip

My Wife Grabbed Them Before I Did
My wife got to the Quatish Travel Bottles before I did, pulled them out of the shipping box and started filling before I’d read the instructions. She uses them for everything liquid she travels with, which tells you something about how quickly these become the default. The six distinct colors help too: nobody’s squeezing conditioner when they wanted shampoo.
The feel is what struck me first. Warmer, kind of like a rubber or soft plastic in the hand, not the stiff hard-shell bottle you get in a drugstore travel aisle. Easy to squeeze, easy to get the last of it out.
Six Bottles Replace Every Travel-Size Purchase
One 6-pack replaces every travel-size shampoo and conditioner purchase you’d make for the next year. That’s the money math. You buy the pack once and then you’re decanting from the full-size shampoo and conditioner you already own at home instead of paying a premium for 3 oz of the same thing every single trip.
There’s a second use I didn’t plan on. My wife gives these away as gifts, to girlfriends, to office workers, especially when there’s a white elephant gift or someone’s having an occasion at work. You always need a small gift like this on hand. A six-pack splits into three gifts if you want it to.
One number worth knowing before you click: these are currently sitting around their usual price for the past three months, so there’s no obvious reason to wait for a swing. More than 5,000 people bought them in the past month, though their Amazon rank in Beauty & Personal Care has slid to #3,309 against a 90-day average of #1,660. Fewer sales lately, same product. Current pricing is on the product page.
The Halfway-Full Rule
Fill them halfway, not to the brim: half-full gives cabin pressure somewhere to go, and drops usable capacity from 3 oz to about 1.5 oz per bottle. A soft silicone bottle packed to the cap has nowhere to go when cabin pressure changes or a suitcase gets stacked under three others. Half full gives the squeeze somewhere to travel. It also means the real usable capacity on a trip is closer to 1.5 oz a bottle than the 3 oz printed on the label, which matters if you’ve got thick hair and a week away.
The other thing to know going in: oil-based products aren’t recommended in these. So your face oil, your beard oil, that’s a different container. Worth checking before you fill all six.
Filling, Squeezing, And The TSA Part
No funnel needed: the wide mouth opens for filling and fits a bottle brush for cleaning, the two reasons most reusable travel bottles end up in the trash. You pop the lid off, pour straight in, no funnel, no mess running down the side. Same opening lets a bottle brush fit all the way inside when you want to switch what’s in it, which is the thing that usually kills reusable travel bottles. If you can’t clean it, you throw it out and buy another one.
Dispensing goes through a small cross orifice in the cap. You get a controlled amount instead of a glug, which is the difference between using what you need and wasting a third of it on the shower floor. I squeezed some contents out into a bag on camera just to show the flow and the seal, and we haven’t had any problem with these.
The included bag, 8.62 x 5.35 x 1.42 inches, goes straight into the security bin, no Ziploc required. That’s the part I didn’t expect to care about until I was at the airport at 5 a.m. and just walked through without digging for a sandwich bag. The 3 oz bottles clear the TSA liquid limit, and we’ve never been pulled aside.
What’s Inside The Lid
The 3-layer seal is what stops leaks: silicone body flexes, rigid cap stays put, cross orifice only opens under hand pressure. That’s the patented bit, and it’s why the maker is comfortable claiming 100% leakproof. The silicone body flexes, the cap stays rigid, and the cross orifice only opens under pressure from your hand.
I can’t verify a ladder-toss drop test. What I can tell you is what mine did: halfway full, multiple trips, luggage and Dopp kit, no shampoo on anything. Halfway full across multiple trips in a packed Dopp kit, nothing leaked onto anything.
Which Ones Go In The Dopp Kit
Two bottles in my Dopp kit, one shaving cream, one cologne, prove the real win: you’re not locked into shampoo-and-conditioner sets. A little bit of shaving cream in one, cologne and some other stuff in the others. That versatility is the real argument for buying travel bottles for toiletries as a set rather than piece by piece. You’re not locked into shampoo and conditioner.

Pick the colors apart before your first trip and assign them. Takes thirty seconds and saves you from unscrewing three caps in a hotel shower. If you travel a handful of times a year, this is an easy one to try. Check today’s price on Amazon.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can these go in the dishwasher?
I hand-clean mine. The wide opening fits a bottle brush, so a minute under warm water with a little dish soap gets the inside clean. That’s the designed-in cleaning method per the maker, and it’s faster than waiting on a dishwasher cycle anyway.
Will they survive being checked in a suitcase instead of carried on?
Mine have ridden in luggage with no leaks, kept halfway full. Checked bags see more pressure change and rougher handling than a carry-on, so the half-full habit matters more there, not less. Don’t top them off and expect checked-bag luck.
What if one of them does leak?
Quatish says to message them if you’re not satisfied and they’ll handle it with customer service. No stated warranty length that I’ve seen. Keep your order confirmation if you want that route open.
Can I use these for sunscreen or lotion?
Thick lotions and sunscreen work fine given the squeezable silicone body, but check the ingredients first. Oil-based products specifically aren’t recommended, and plenty of sunscreens lead with oils. If it pours like a cream, you’re fine; if it pours like an oil, use something else.
