The High Absorption CoQ10 500MG softgels are worth buying if you want a higher dose than the usual 100 to 200 milligrams most CoQ10 bottles give you. Two small softgels per serving, 120 in the bottle, two months of supply, and no gastrointestinal issues for me. Buy.

How this review was made: written from my own video review of this product. Every opinion here is my own, from using it myself.

Quick Verdict

Most CoQ10 bottles give you 100 to 200 milligrams. This one gives you 500, and I felt it as sustained energy and better next-day recovery. No gut issues once in a couple months of taking it alongside my other supplements.

Buy if you:

  • Want a higher dose than the usual 100 to 200 mg CoQ10 bottles
  • Train or exercise regularly and care about next-day recovery
  • Avoid soy and want a plant-based softgel
  • Hate big capsules and need something easy to swallow

The Softgels Are Smaller Than I Expected

First thing I noticed opening the bottle: the softgels are extremely small. For a 500 milligram dose I was braced for horse pills. They’re easy to swallow. The High Absorption CoQ10 500MG bottle holds 120 of them, and since it’s two per serving, you’re looking at about two months out of one bottle. They sell it as a single or a two pack if you want to buy it in two at a time.

Plant-based, no soy. That mattered to me.

What’s Inside Besides the CoQ10

It’s not a plain CoQ10. The formula boasts an herbal blend of turmeric, grape extract, citrus bergamot and Amelia extract, and the brand uses whole foods and natural olive oil to carry it. That oil base is the whole reason they call this a high absorption supplement instead of a standard one. The marketing angle is greater energy plus statin support.

Keep in mind the dose context. CoQ10 generally or typically runs about 100 to 200 milligrams a bottle. This boasts 500, and that’s why they label it as high absorption or high dosage. If you’ve been searching around for an absorption supplement in softgel form and wondering why the milligram numbers jump around so much, that’s your answer: the carrier matters as much as the number on the label.

Two Months In My Stack, Zero Stomach Problems

No gastrointestinal issues, and I was watching for them. I stack this with a multivitamin and essential amino acids every morning, and two months in, not a single upset stomach, no bloating, nothing that made me pull it from the rotation. For an oil-based softgel at this dose, that’s not a given.

The recovery effect is the one I didn’t expect. I went in skeptical about energy claims, but the morning after hard training sessions I was getting up ready to go instead of grinding through soreness. That’s the test I actually care about, not how alert I feel an hour after swallowing something, but whether my legs are functional the next day.

I love that it provides more energy than I thought it would. I went in expecting a mild, hard-to-notice supplement, the kind you take on faith. This one I noticed.

Cost Per Serving, and Why the Price Moves

Run the math on servings, not on bottle count. 120 softgels at two per serving is 60 servings, so the 120 count is a two month bottle, not a four month one. That’s the number to use when you’re comparing this against a 100 mg bottle that only asks for one capsule a day. Five of those little 100 mg capsules is what it takes to match one serving here.

One more thing worth knowing that you can’t see on the listing page. This one’s price bounces around a lot. It’s sitting right around its normal level for the last three months, but it’s been considerably cheaper at points, so I’d check the live price rather than assume what you see is the floor. It’s also moving volume, more than 5,000 bought in the past month and sitting around #6,357 in Health and Household, which tells you it isn’t an obscure listing with three reviews behind it.

Higher Milligrams Isn’t the Same as More Absorbed

People see 500 mg and assume it’s five times the benefit of a 100 mg bottle. That’s not how CoQ10 works. CoQ10 is fat soluble, which is why the oil carrier in this formula is doing real work, and it’s why the label leans on the word absorption rather than just the milligram count. A big number in a dry capsule you don’t absorb well isn’t better than a smaller number you do.

The other mix-up I see constantly: people search for an iron absorption supplement and land on CoQ10 pages. Different mineral, different job. CoQ10 is about cellular energy production and heart health energy, not iron uptake. If iron is what you’re after, this isn’t the bottle.

Where It Landed After Two Bottles’ Worth of Daily Use

Two months, two bottles’ worth of servings, and the verdict is straightforward: this is the first CoQ10 I’ve taken where I could actually feel the difference in next-day recovery rather than just hoping the label was telling the truth. Small softgels, no gut issues, no soy, the basics are covered. The two-softgel serving is a real cost-per-month consideration, but not a dealbreaker at this dose.

The two-softgel serving is the only thing that nags at me. I prefer a once-a-day capsule, and this makes the bottle go twice as fast as the 120 count suggests. Trade-off for the dose. If you’re looking for a higher dose of CoQ10 and want better recovery without gut issues, this does that.

Pros

  • 500 mg per serving, well above the usual 100 to 200 mg bottles
  • Extremely small softgels, easy to swallow
  • Plant-based with no soy
  • No gastrointestinal issues alongside my multivitamin and amino acids
  • Noticeable sustained energy and better next-day recovery

Cons

  • Two softgels per serving, so 120 count is only about two months
  • Price swings a lot, so buying at the wrong moment costs you
  • Added herbal blend won’t suit anyone who wants a single-ingredient CoQ10

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I take the two softgels with food?

Yes, take it with a meal that has some fat in it. CoQ10 is fat soluble, and even with the olive oil carrier in this formula you’ll get more out of it alongside food than on an empty stomach. I take mine with my other morning supplements.

Can I split the serving into one softgel morning and one at night?

You can, and some people prefer that for a steadier level through the day. The label’s serving is two softgels, so splitting just spreads the same daily amount. Check with your doctor if you’re on a statin or any heart medication before changing how you dose it.

How should I store the bottle?

Cool, dry, out of direct light, cap on tight. Oil-based softgels don’t love heat, so a kitchen cabinet away from the stove beats a windowsill or a steamy bathroom shelf. Two months is a short enough bottle that you won’t be storing it long anyway.

Is this gluten free and non-GMO?

Yes on both, and it’s made in the USA under cGMP compliance per the brand. It’s also soy free and plant-based, which is part of why I picked it up. If you have a specific allergen concern beyond those, read the current label on the product page before ordering.
