10 Pcs Travel Hangers: Foldable Design for Cruise Packing
Foldable travel hangers rated to 10 lbs, three open positions, under an ounce each. Who they fit and who should skip them.
The 10 Pcs Travel Hangers are worth buying if you cruise, RV, or stay in hotels with closets built for about four hangers. Each one weighs 0.98 oz, folds to 3.5 x 5.1 inches, and is rated to hold 10 lbs. Skip them if you want full-shoulder wooden hangers for suits.

Cruise Cabin Closets Are a Joke
Most ship cabins give you maybe four or five hangers and a rod about as wide as a bath towel. That’s the problem these solve. I’ve got the 10 Pcs Travel Hangers and I walk through all three positions in the video so you can kind of see what you’re getting. Ten of them, black, and the whole set weighs less than a paperback.
Collapsible is the only category worth packing. Full-size hangers eat half a carry-on; these ten fold to the footprint of a deck of cards and weigh less than a granola bar combined.
Three Positions, Not One
Each hanger locks at three widths, and that’s the whole design. Fully opened it runs 18.5 inches, which covers a coat, a jacket, or a regular T-shirt. Half opened it drops to 10.6 inches for kids’ clothes, tanks, bras, anything with narrow shoulders. Folded all the way down it’s still a hook, so scarves, belts, and hats go on it.
Folded flat the footprint is 3.5 by 5.1 inches. That’s the number that matters when you’re deciding whether to bring them, because ten of them stack into a space smaller than a paperback novel and add 0.98 oz per hanger to your bag. The plastic is a non-slip finish, so thin satin tops don’t slide off the shoulder the way they do on cheap smooth plastic.
The load rating is 10 lbs per hanger, certified by the maker’s bear test. For context, a soaked beach towel or a heavy winter coat is nowhere near 10 lbs. These aren’t going to bow under normal travel clothes.

They Are Not Suit Hangers
Buyers see “18.5 inches” and assume these replace a contoured wooden hanger. They don’t. A travel hanger is a thin plastic arm with a hinge, so it holds the garment and keeps it off the floor, but it won’t maintain the shoulder shape of a tailored blazer over a week. If you’re a business traveler hanging one suit jacket, bring the jacket’s own hanger and use these for everything else.
The other useful thing is that the hook fits any standard rod, which means they work well draped over a hotel shower rod for drying clothes, the position I use most when hand-washing shirts the night before a port day.
The Hinge Is the Weak Point
Anything that folds has a joint, and a joint is where plastic fails. These are no different. Fold and unfold them a few hundred times across a dozen trips and the hinge is the part that’ll eventually loosen before the arms crack. Nothing on the listing addresses hinge cycle life, so plan on treating a 10-pack as a multi-year consumable rather than a lifetime buy.
Also worth knowing: there’s no warranty, just a “message us” customer-service promise. For a product whose only failure mode is a hinge that loosens over hundreds of fold cycles, that’s a weak backstop. Buy a second pack before the first one starts to go.
Buy Now or Wait?

There’s only one version, black, ten per pack. No sizing decision to make. If you’re a couple, ten splits to five each, which is roughly what a seven-night cruise needs. Check the current price on the product page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will cruise lines confiscate these at security?
No. They’re plastic with no metal and no electrical parts, which puts them well clear of the usual banned-items lists for irons, power strips, and heating elements. Folded flat they also don’t look like anything a screener needs to pull your bag for.
Can I leave clothes on them inside my suitcase?
Yes, and that’s one of the listed uses. Pack them in a hanging or folding suitcase with the garments already on and you unpack straight onto the rod. At 0.98 oz each the weight penalty for doing that is negligible.
Do they fit standard home closet rods?
Yes. The hook is sized for a normal rod, so these work for off-season closet clearing at home, not just travel. A lot of people buy a pack for a trip and end up keeping half of them in a guest closet.
