The 6-piece heavy duty stainless steel Measuring Spoons set is worth buying if you bake and want exact numbers instead of a pinch of this. Six sizes from 1/8 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon, etched handles, all held on a D-ring so nothing goes missing in the drawer. Buy.

Six stainless steel measuring spoons fanned out in macro close-up with sunlight reflecting off polished metal

How this review was made: written from my own video review of this product. Every opinion here is my own, from using it myself.

Quick Verdict

Six spoons, one metal ring, and I stopped losing the 1/8 teaspoon. That’s the whole pitch and it’s enough. Stainless steel, very sturdy, it just works.

Buy if you:

  • bake with baking powder and baking soda where 1/8 of a teaspoon matters
  • use artificial sweeteners that are way more potent than table sugar
  • run a Ninja Creami and need exact filler measurements
  • keep losing the small spoons loose in a drawer

My Mother Cooks By Pinch. I Don’t.

My mother can throw in a pinch of this, a pinch of that, and it comes out right every time. I tried that once with baking soda and produced a flat, bitter loaf. So I measure everything out, which is why this 6-piece heavy duty stainless steel measuring spoon set has lived on top of my drawer for the past year instead of inside it.

My wife and I both bake a lot. Baking powder, baking soda, spices. Those are the ingredients where guessing shows up in the finished product. One of my recipes calls for 1 1/4 teaspoon of sweetener, and some of the artificial sweeteners are way more potent than regular table sugar. You want to be exact on that.

What Spoons Heavy Duty Actually Buys You Here

Very inexpensive for stainless steel that’ll outlast the drawer it lives in. That’s the math on a spoons heavy duty set like this one. You’re not paying for a brand, you’re paying for food grade stainless instead of silicone or plastic that could leach into whatever you’re baking.

Compare that to the plastic sets most of us started with. Those warp, they stain from turmeric and paprika, and the printed measurements rub off after enough dishwasher cycles. These have the measurements etched in, not printed. An eighth of a teaspoon, a quarter, a half, a whole teaspoon, plus the half tablespoon and tablespoon. That marking isn’t going anywhere.

One thing worth knowing before you click: the price on this set moves around a lot. It’s sitting right about where it’s been the last three months, but it’s dropped well below that at points. Worth checking the live price rather than assuming.

The D-Ring Is Both the Best and Worst Part

The ring is why I bought it, and it’s also the one thing that’ll annoy some people. All six spoons bind together on a little metal hook, almost like a key ring. So you don’t have to look for a lost piece, especially the eighth of a teaspoon, which is the one that always disappears.

But that means when you want the half teaspoon by itself, you’re either dragging the other five along with it or you’re unclipping the ring. Mid-recipe with flour on your hands, that’s a small nuisance. I mostly just use the whole bundle and let the extras hang. If you’re someone who wants a nested set that stacks flat in a utensil tray, this isn’t that design.

Out of the Package and Into the Drawer

There’s no setup. Wash them, drop them in a drawer, done. Everything is here all in one piece, so there’s no sorting or matching sizes.

The satin brushed finish is the first thing I noticed handling them. Not shiny, not slippery. The round heads are weighted against the handle well enough that a loaded tablespoon of flour doesn’t want to tip out of your hand on the way to the bowl.

Where I Reach For These Most

Ninja Creami prep is where these earn their keep most. A quarter teaspoon of stabilizer off and the texture fails, I know because I’ve made that batch. Eyeballing anything into a Creami pint is a losing game, and unclipping one ring beats rummaging for the right spoon every single time.

The round scoop head matters more than I expected. A lot of measuring spoons are too wide or too oval to drop into a standard spice jar, so you end up pouring spice into the spoon over the counter and making a mess. These go straight down into the jar, fill, and come out clean. No spilling, no second attempt.

They’re portable too. If I’m taking baking supplies somewhere, the whole set travels as one unit on the ring instead of six loose pieces rattling around a bag.

After a year of weekly baking and Creami batches, the engraving is still sharp, the ring still closes clean, and I’ve never gone looking for the 1/8 teaspoon. That’s the entire review.

Before You Click Buy

Check your recipes for the odd fractions before you assume six sizes covers you. This set runs 1/8 teaspoon up to 1 tablespoon, which includes a half tablespoon a lot of sets leave out. What it doesn’t include is anything larger, so you still need separate measuring cups for flour and liquids.

Worth knowing: Amazon has this at #612 in Kitchen & Dining right now, down from a 90-day average around #491, so it’s selling a little slower than it was. More than 8,000 still moved last month, so it’s not a product fading out. Just a reminder that the version you see today is the version plenty of people are already using.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these dishwasher safe?

Stainless steel handles the dishwasher without issue, and because the measurements are engraved rather than printed, the cycle won’t wear the markings off. That’s the main advantage over a printed plastic set. I still rinse the 1/8 teaspoon by hand since it’s small enough to fall through a rack.

Will they fit into narrow spice jars?

Yes, the heads are round rather than oval, which is what lets them drop into seasoning jars and small containers without spilling. Standard supermarket spice jars are no problem. A very narrow-necked bottle, like some imported hot sauce or extract bottles, is still going to be too tight for the tablespoon.

Can I use these for liquids as well as dry ingredients?

Both work fine. The satin brushed stainless surface handles dry and liquid condiments, so vanilla extract, oil, or baking soda all measure the same way. The round deep bowl shape actually holds liquid better than a shallow oval spoon does.

Will stainless steel rust over time?

Food grade stainless is built not to rust, and that’s the long-term case for switching off plastic. The one habit worth keeping is drying them before they go back in the drawer, since water sitting in the ring joint is the only place I’d expect trouble on any set like this.
